Companies House fee increases

As part of our commitment to keeping you informed and prepared, we wanted to share an important update regarding upcoming Companies House fee increases and how they may affect your business from 1 February 2026.

These changes are being introduced by Companies House and apply to all UK limited companies. While the increases are outside of our control, we believe in being transparent a so you can plan ahead with confidence.

Companies House fee increases from 1 February 2026

Companies House has confirmed that its statutory fees will increase from 1 February 2026. These are government-set charges and apply universally, regardless of who you use as your accountant or company secretarial provider.

You can read the official announcement directly on the UK Government website here:

As a result of these changes, we’ll be making a small adjustment to some of our service fees to reflect the higher Companies House costs.

How the Companies House fee increase affects Confirmation Statements

If your Confirmation Statement is due after 1 February 2026, there may be a small one-off adjustment applied to reflect the increased Companies House filing fee. The exact amount depends on when your Confirmation Statement falls within the year.

Rest assured, we’ll always confirm any additional charges with you in advance so there are no surprises.

You can find more information about Confirmation Statements and statutory filing requirements here:

  • Confirmation Statements guidance (gov.uk)

Can you avoid the fee increase this year?

In some cases, yes.

If your Confirmation Statement is due in February 2026 or later, it may be possible to bring it forward to January 2026. Doing so would allow you to avoid the increased Companies House fee for this year only.

If you’re unsure whether this applies to your company, just get in touch and we’ll be happy to check for you.
