Billing & Payments
We work on a fixed monthly fee basis, so you always know what your accounting costs will be in advance.
Your monthly fee covers the services agreed within your package, along with ongoing support, advice, and regular communication throughout the year.
Although annual accounts and tax returns are filed once a year, the work happens continuously throughout the year.
Your monthly fee includes:
- Ongoing advice and support
- Reviewing and adjusting records throughout the year
- Tax planning
- Responding to queries
- Year-round monitoring and compliance work
This helps avoid large one-off bills and allows us to support you proactively rather than just once a year.
An alignment fee is sometimes required when a client joins part way through their financial year.
Because our annual accounts and tax services are spread across 12 monthly payments, joining later in the year can create a shortfall between the work already required and the number of monthly payments remaining before the year end.
For example:
If your year end is March and you join us in January, there are only 3 monthly payments remaining before your year end. In this case, an alignment fee equivalent to 9 months may be added so that the billing aligns correctly with the accounting year.
We will always explain any alignment fee clearly before onboarding.
We collect payments via Direct Debit.
This keeps payments simple, secure, and automatic for both parties.
Invoices are raised on the 1st of each month and are usually collected by Direct Debit around 7 days later.
All services are billed in advance. For example, your May invoice covers your May services.
No.
Your monthly payments are not payments on account towards a future bill.
They are payments for an ongoing monthly service that includes support, advice, compliance work, adjustments, and preparation work throughout the year.
No — general advice, support, emails, and queries are included within your monthly package.
We encourage clients to contact us regularly rather than saving questions until year end.
If work falls outside your agreed package or is considered specialist/project work, we will always discuss this with you and provide a quote before any additional charges are made.
